actually in beginning it was not a big problem for me..but after nagging by my dad,my determination get waver

should i buy DSLR nikon D3100 now?or Canon Digital IXUS 1000HS?
if i buy DSLR,then it's was just useful for travel
erm,i cant bring it to everywhere as camera..huge body there
yet after i went UNI, it's doesn't work anymore
but im sure that in future i must have a DSLR
let's say I bought it now ard,then in the future I can just change the lens..dont need suffering like hell for saving money to own a DSLR
besides that,about the Digital Camera..
I can bring it to anywhere at anytime..and it was water prove..
but the function sure not advanced than DSLR
it cost RM 1399 ard..I can buy a DSLR if pay more RM600.worth izn't it?
